Architecture Is Marketing: Using Design to Build Relationships and Win More Work
1

Design is more than a service or product feature. It can be a powerful tool for building relationships, earning trust, and generating new business. Drawing on his experience as a design/build business owner and product specifier, Michael McCullough shares how interiorscape contractors, growers, and product suppliers can use design and education to connect with prospective clients, architects, and other decisionmakers. Attendees will learn practical approaches to presenting ideas, engaging customers earlier in the decision-making process, and using educational opportunities to generate projects and product specifications.

Learning Objectives:

Attendees will learn how to:

  • Use design as a marketing tool to attract prospective clients, build trust, and differentiate their businesses.
  • Engage decision-makers earlier by using conceptual designs and visual presentations to start conversations before projects go out for bid.
  • Build relationships with architects and designers to create opportunities for projects, partnerships, and product specifications.
  • Leverage education and lunch-and-learns to position their businesses and products as trusted resources for design professionals.
  • Turn relationships into revenue through practical follow-up strategies that lead to new projects, product sales, and long-term opportunities.
